Think outside the box as we create some really BIG art work. We will practice painting and drawing by creating large murals, experiment with recycled materials to create works of collage and experience art in motion by using movement to make marks! We will also collaborate to create giant puppets and sculptures that are out of this world!
Shannon Brady works as an artist and educator at Marin Country Day School in Corte Madera, California. She comes to the Bay Area this year from Richmond, Virginia where she received her BFA in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Shannon has taught visual arts to a vast range of students, from Pre-Kindergarten to adulthood, in public school classrooms, at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and at the Boys and Girls Club. She strongly believes that process is more important than outcome in art making and loves to encourage her students to take risks and experiment with new materials.
