Camp Kala Wk 1 • People & Animals • WAITLIST ONLY

Have you ever wanted to be able to draw an animal or person that looks real?  This camp will teach you how! We will spend time practicing our observational drawing skills and draw people or animals in action. Later, we will paint and sculpt our creations using wire, plaster and paint, bringing them to life with special details like clothing and fur!

About the Instructor:

Aliza Cohen is an artist and educator.  She currently teaches both 2D and 3D Art at Albany High School, as well as after school art classes for elementary school children.  Her approach to art education is focused on teaching skills to empower students while encouraging them to explore and engage with the artistic process. Aliza holds an MFA in Painting from Boston University and received her teaching credential from Mills College. When she isn’t teaching or making paintings at her art studio in Richmond she is adventuring and tasting ice cream flavors around the Bay Area with her two lovely children.
