This class will explore various analog techniques for creating polymer plates. Students will have opportunities to experiment with hand painting, drawing or scratching on film and more. These techniques lend themselves to a variety of image styles – abstract, representational or hand produced typography. Once plates are produced, student will then learn the basics of letterpress printing on the Vandercook Cylinder Press. No previous experience required.
