Foam Plate Prints Without a Press

In this workshop we will apply a variety of techniques and materials to draw lines, make marks, and press shapes into simple foam plates. We will experiment with assorted water soluble media (e.g., block inks and oil pastels) to produce different effects and textures. Results are immediate and participants will be able to create several prints in class. The foam plates can be re-inked many times to make multiple prints from the same plate. Prints are hand pulled without the need of a press. All levels welcome.
