Gelli Plate Monotype: Printing Without A Press

This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to making monoprints using a Gelli plate and water soluble block inks. The Gelli printing plate is made of a gel-like substance with a sensitive surface that invites endless experimentation and reuse. The Gelli plate is perfect for use with brayers, brushes, stencils, and found flat objects. The inks easily allow for layering, lifting, drawing, and other post-printing embellishments. Prints are hand pulled without the need of a press. All levels welcome.
