Gestural Monotype & Drypoint

In this class participants will learn how to prepare drypoint plates using dremels and other tools and then a variety of ways to rework the plate to get fascinating monoprints. Drypoint is one of most exciting ways to make organic and spontaneous marks without any toxic etching materials! After the plate has been printed once, participants will learn to rework the plate for the “ghost” images with whatever ink is leftover on its surface. Almost all of the techniques will be one of a kind marks, allowing for improvisation and spontaneity.
