This workshop will immerse students of all levels into the playful process of improvisational drawing. We’ll take a journey through a series of exercises to help facilitate exploration and experimentation in drawing techniques. Strengthen your creative voice, access the foundation for innovation, and build a series of original drawings, all in a supportive environment.

Julia Rosenberg is a Berkeley native, a lifetime artist, with a love for pattern and color. Rosenberg has a BA with highest honors in studio art from Oberlin College, and specialized training from California School of Professional Fabric Design. She has worked as a textile designer for the past 8+ years for distinguished home furnishings retailers, and is currently creating a collection of experimental abstract works on paper.
Lia Sutton is a practicing artist and photographer in the Bay Area. She is currently an Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute and has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. She has an MFA from Cornell University and a BA from Hampshire College.
