This class is for students already versed in the basics of needle felting. Bring projects in progress be prepared to have a group problem-solving session and to pick up new tricks that will improve your felting skills and projects. Because this class is intended for artists with an understanding of the basics of needle felting, please bring your own materials if you have them. Additional supplies will be available for purchase during class. Enrollment limited to 10 students.
Stephanie Metz is a fine artist whose innovative work in felted wool has garnered international attention. Her work focusing on the relationship between humans and the natural world fuses sharp wit, thoughtful observation, and flawless craftsmanship to blur the line between art and science, natural and unnatural, organic and man-made. Stephanie has taught at USF and Cabrillo College, and she is active in the Bay Area nonprofit arts scene. She received her BFA in Sculpture from the University of Oregon.
