Letterpress: Broadside Poster

In this intensive workshop, learn how to create and print a broadside (hand-printed poster) using your own imagery printed from a linoleum block you carve in class. You'll also learn how to use, adjust, and maintain the Vandercook press. All workshop participants have an opportunity to set and print type with tips on how to achieve sharp, correct inking.
Lisa Rappoport publishes letterpress-printed poetry broadsides and artist’s books under the imprint Littoral Press. Her poetry has appeared in Five Fingers Review, Literal Latté, and elsewhere. In 2010 EtherDome published a double chapbook of her poems, Figments/Aftermaths. Lisa has taught at the San Francisco Center for the Book, New College in San Francisco, a middle school in Lafayette, and in her own West Oakland studio.
