Mini Monotype Workshop (April)

Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a printmaking press? Explore color, texture, and layering? Then this Mini Monotype Workshop is for you! In this one day workshop participants will work on plate 6” x 6” to learn the ease of ink, paper, and printing. The class uses oil based water soluble inks for a low toxicity environment. Ideal for anyone wanting to incorporate color into their work, a first time for everything class, or just a weekend exploration! All levels welcome.

About the Instructor:

Jen Cole worked as a fine arts printer for about ten years after completing her graduate work at SF State. She is currently going in to her eighth year as an Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute. Her other residencies include, Vermont Studio Center, Playa Art Residency in Oregon and the Women’s Studio Workshop in New York and Empriente in Luxembourg. She finds printmaking to be a perfect media for mixing and blending different techniques together for intriguing and experimental outcomes.
