Oil Painting Expressions

Participants with experience in art making will learn how to begin painting with oils. We will practice mixing different types of pigments, gaining an understanding of the qualities of different colors and their relationships. We will learn about a variety of oil painting mediums, drying times and safety for home set up. We will learn by experimentation, trial and error, and discussions as well as studying the techniques of other artists. Participants will create several practice studies and one completed oil painting on canvas of their own inspiration. A great class for all levels!
