Projects in Screenprint

This 3 week course will cover all of the nuts and bolts of screenprinting while emphasizing hands-on techniques in both traditional and experimental printshops. With the goal to solidify a deep understanding of the process, students will create their own unique prints, drawing inspiration from their interests and goals. We will discuss multi-color printing, registration/alignment, printing on fabric, alternative materials and experimental techniques. Feel free to come prepared with a specific project or not– everyone will be encouraged to experiment and play. Students will leave with a solid understanding of this fundamental process, a big stack of prints and the readiness to keep printing in all kinds of printshops.
