Toner Transfer Lithography

In this class, students will learn how to transfer toner from printed images directly onto ball grained aluminum plates. Students will be encouraged to create collages, whether digitally or physically for the purpose of transferring that image onto an aluminum plate for lithographic printing. They will then learn how to stabilize the plate and print an edition of prints. This class will include both demos and studio time – no prior experience needed.

About the Instructor:

Rudolph Taylor is a collaborative printmaker with a focus in lithography. He received his BFA from Syracuse University, where he began assisting with classes and working with artists through Lake Effect Edition. He further pursued his passion for collaboration with the completion of the Tamarind Printer Training Program, and currently works for Paulson Fontaine Press.
