Watercolor Monotype Workshop

Watercolor Monoprinting is a quick, non-toxic way to make colorful prints. With this technique students can achieve lusciously colored prints, experiment with cutting and layering, and combine varied aesthetics into one print. Come and pull many prints or just a few – it is entirely up to your preferred style of working. Join the class for playful and experimental printing!

About the Instructor:

Kate Goyette is a professional printer and artist who lives and works in the Bay Area. She holds an MFA in Printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design and completed the Printer Training Program at Tamarind Institute. Before moving to California, Kate worked as the Assistant Printer at Highpoint Editions where she worked with Jim Hodges, Do Ho Suh, Julie Buffalohead, and others. Kate has also worked at Muskat Studios, Oehme Graphics, and Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. She has taught various printmaking workshops over the years and is the current Printmaking Studio Manager at California College of the Arts. While Kate has a true love for all things print, litho holds a special place in her heart.
