Richard Wagener received his MFA in painting from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His book, Zebra Noise with a Flatted Seventh, was published in 1998 by printer Peter Koch, and a suite of ten engravings was created to accompany The Fragments of Parmenides, published by Editions KOCH in 2004. Richard was the co-recipient of the Carl Hertzog Award for Excellence in Book Design for his book Loom, Nawakum Press/Mixolydian Editions, 2014. Richard’s work is in the collections of the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, The Fine Arts Museums, San Francisco, and the Library of Congress, among others.
