Woodcut Printing on T-Shirts and Textiles

Learn to print on t-shirts and textiles using traditional methods of woodblock carving. Each student will carve their own blocks to create a single image on a shirt, or a repeating pattern on a larger textile. We will discuss graphic design, drawing, block carving, tools and press operation. This method uses a high density ink, specially made for beautiful block prints on cotton fabric, that is resilient to fading and wear.  Each student gain a greater understanding of the relief carving process and translate their ideas into a wearable object. No experience necessary.
