Special Gallery Reception with Rolling Counterpoint
Join us and share tea and stories about belonging, exclusion and social division with artist Taro Hattori. Dialogue will be encouraged between Berkeley’s diverse residents about issues facing their communities, and especially ongoing concerns centered on gentrification and community displacement. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment or just drop in!
Event Hours: 1-3pm and 6-8pm
Kala Gallery will be also open late this evening for the Art | Kala 2017 exhibition.
Rolling Counterpoint is commissioned by the Lucas Artists Program at Montalvo Arts Center. This event, which represents the first stop in Rolling Counterpoint’s East Bay residency, is co-organized by Kala Art Institute and Montalvo, and develops out of Hattori’s participation in Kala’s Print Public Residency Program in 2013-15.
