Philadelphia, PA, Silkscreen and Glass Installations
Jennifer Blazina's work mixes the rather unlikely combinations of cast glass, resin, steel and silkscreen processes. Her complex installations explore fragments of the past through the use of appropriated snapshots. Repetitively reprinted portraits become a metaphor for memory and the wish to recapture ephemeral moments. Jennifer is currently an Assistant Professor in Printmaking and Drawing at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She received her MFA in Printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art, a BFA in Photography from the State University of New York, and studied visual art and art history at Sarah Lawrence College. She has held numerous university teaching positions and has many exhibitions and residencies to her credit.
