Michael Krueger
University of Kansas based-artist and teacher Michael Krueger’s intriguing combination prints are based on his high school sketchbooks containing drawings of 1970’s heavy metal bands. Digital prints of these cryptic teenage free-association drawings are overlaid with hand-drawn lithographs of oddball early American patriotic history scenes. The works conveys a psychological dementia that meshes past and present cultural paranoia.
