Osvaldo Ramirez

Originally from El Salvador, Osvaldo Ramirez Castillo received his MFA from Concordia University and is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design.  Exhibitions include venues such as The Southern Alberta Art Gallery  (solo); Gallery Push, Montreal (solo); The International Print Center, New York (group); The Drawing Center, New York (group); The 2007 Western New York Biennial, Buffalo and most recently the Maclaren Art Center in Barrie, Canada among others. He was the recipient of the Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award for Visual Arts in Canada in 2011 and is the winner of various production grants from The Canada Council for the Arts, Les Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec, including The Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2010.  He lives and works in Montreal.
