      Discover a process that is both quick and accessible for creating small to large format intaglio plates Ð all without using toxic acids. This workshop demonstrates an engraving technique that combines the use of a Dremel tool and plexiglass plates with carborundum, a hard and abrasive compound that creates print tonality. A wide range of techniques for making various lines, textures and tones on plexiglass will be covered. Participants print proofs from their plexi-plates.

      Nora Pauwels , born in Belgium, is an internationally recognized printmaker . Pauwels has done extensive work exploring the possibilities of creating intaglio prints utilizing various plexigravure processes. She exhibits her prints both nationally and internationally. .
