DECONSTRUCTION/CONSTRUCTION: Intaglio Monoprinting
with Amanda Knowles
24 hour workshop
Class #46: June 18-19, 25-26: Saturdays - Sundays 10am - 4pm
Tuition $360 Materials $50 Total Cost $410

Discover a new way of looking at the creation of a print--focused on creating not a finished edition but a set of variations. Platework will be minimal, with the focus on experimentation and multiple outcomes in printing. Come to class with some ideas about how single images will work well together, but not a hard and fast idea about how your final images will look. Techniques covered include multiple drop printing, relief rolling, stencils, gum transfer, and the use of Z-Acryl and polyester litho plates. Prior printmaking experience required.
