This course is designed to help you take your photo-based printmaking to the next level. If you have previous experience with Photoshop and some form of photo-etching (either here at Kala or elsewhere), here's your chance to expand your knowledge. We'll spend one day in Kala's electronic media center, reviewing and refining Photoshop techniques, including how to optimize your output for photo-etching. The next two classes will be spent making photo-etching plates, printing them, and doing lots of experimentation, based on students' interests and the nature of the work being created. Enrollment is limited to 9 students.
