Noted for its delicate color and painterly characteristics, gum dichromate printing has enjoyed a renaissance due in large part to a photographic movement knows as the antiquarian avant-garde. The workshop covers the process from head to toe. Learn how to scan appropriate material, produce enlarged negatives with a computer, prepare the paper surface and mix chemicals, and finally print your own gum dichromate print. Single color and color-separation prints will both be covered in this two-weekend class. Some knowledge of Photoshop is required. Enrollment is limited to 7 students.
