    Even Better Equipped
Thanks to the James Irvine Foundation, also thanks to Adobe for their major donation of software. Kala's artists are more fortunate than ever to enter the Electronic Media Center and take advantage of our new equipment: the Imacon Flextite Precision III scanner. perfect for scanning slides, negatives and transparencies, as well as a Polaroid scanner. We have Final Cut Pro 3 software for our video artists, and also a new Canon XL-1S video camera & Sony night visison camera, Still camera (Kodak DCS pro 14n and Canon) and Sony Video Projector(3000 lumens). Finally we can output images on our new Ink-Jet Printer the 54" Roland 500 and Epson-7600, 24" & 8 color Epson 900, whose pigments remain archival. All this allows artists ways to integrate new digital technology with traditional printmaking techniques.
