Kala welcomes Carrie Hott as the new Program Coordinator!

Carrie HottKala is pleased as PUNCH!!! to welcome Carrie Hott as the new Program Coordinator for Artist Residencies and Classes. Carrie brings with her a wealth of experience working in the non-profit art world, an extensive knowledge of the local Bay Area (and beyond) art scene, and enough warmth and enthusiasm to power a small nation. Seriously. Before coming to Kala, Carrie worked as the Membership Coordinator at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive at UC Berkeley. In addition to joining the Kala staff, Carrie is Co-Director of the Royal NoneSuch Gallery, an artist-run alternative art and event space located in the Temescal district of Oakland. Carrie holds an MFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, where she has taught painting and drawing for the past 3 years.

Stop by the Kala Heinz Avenue office, next to the print studio, and say “hello” to Carrie. Her office hours are: Tues. – Sat., 10am – 4pm.
