September Class – Intermediate Photoshop

Jon Zax

Class #73: September 12: Saturday 10am – 4pm
Total Cost $96

If you want to touch up old photographs or work on digital art files, this class is for you. Take your Photoshop skills to the next level with this focused look at channels and layers. These are two of the most powerful aspects of Photoshop and using them to their full advantage gives you full control of your creativity. Making a careful selection is essential for the effective use of Photoshop, and channels provide a way to facilitate and save selection-making. The use of layers allows you to edit and otherwise modify discreet picture elements nondestructively. Bring along some files that you would like to work on. Basic knowledge of Photoshop required. Enrollment is limited to 6 students.

Jon Zax owns and operates Lotuscolor, one of the Bay Area’s premier digital imaging studios. An early advocate of digital imaging, he has taught Photoshop  the since 1990, privately and at various institutions, including the Academy of Art University, SF State, and the Center for Electronic Arts. He is also an award-winning photographer and digital artist. He brings a lifetime of experience to the classroom, as well as a teaching style that includes humor and a lot of enthusiasm.
