If you’re seeking alternative methods to more hazardous printmaking materials, this workshop is designed with your needs in mind. It provides a comprehensive, non-toxic exploration of intaglio printmaking including hard ground, aquatint and spit bite processes with a special emphasis on photo-etching using Z-Acryl film. Experimentation and combination of various techniques are encouraged. Appropriate for artists of all skill levels. Enrollment is limited to 10 students.
Mark Zaffron received his MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and his BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. He is an Instructor of Printmaking at Diablo Valley College. Mark is also Founder and Director of the Center for Research, Art, Technology & Education, a non-profit printmaking studio in Oakland.
