• Multi- child/Multi-session Discount: Enroll one student in two or more weeks and save 10% off the total tuition. Siblings may be enrolled in the same or different weeks.
• Kala Members at the Artist/Student level and above save 10%. Become a member today!
• Some discounts may not be combined.
Tuition Assistance
We are committed to including all families in our youth and family programs. Please contact us to inquire about tuition assistance at youtharts@kala.org or 510-841-7000 x202 or apply below. FOR CAMP KALA 2026: We reserve 2 spots per camp for tuition assistance. Please do NOT register for a camp first if you are applying for tuition assistance. We will do our best to give you a spot based on your preferences if you submit an application by our priority deadline of March 15th.
*Applications will be viewed as we receive them. Please note that we have limited funds and some classes or camps may not be available for tuition assistance.
Camp Kala Cancellation & Withdrawal Policy
Kala reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment or other circumstances. In this case, you will be notified and can either receive a full credit or a refund with a $25 administrative fee. Classes are not prorated, nor are session dates individualized for any reason. A $50 administrative fee, per child, will be charged for camp cancellations requested by families.
If you cancel your registration 30 days before the first day of the session you registered for, the remainder of your camp fee will be refunded, or you can apply your full camp tuition as a credit towards another in person or online Kala camp or class. With fewer than 30 days notice, you will only receive credit if we are able to fill your spot with another student.
No refunds will be issued for missed days of camp, early withdrawals (once camp has started), or illness.
Please Note: All students must complete kindergarten before the start of summer camp. Workshop content and teaching staff may be subject to change.
