After School Programs
At Kala, we nurture curiosity and creativity through the arts. Students explore a variety of visual art media, techniques and concepts, and dive deep into the creative process. Our interactive art experiences encourage students to connect, to collaborate, and to learn about different issues and themes related to our personal and community experiences.
In our small classes, teaching artists engage students in skill-based instruction and hands-on project activities where they can share and celebrate their work. Our instructors are practicing artists, and child whisperers who create fun, responsive and supportive home studio environments for all young artists. Class activities include storytelling, studio time, games, movement, and ongoing self-reflection to build trust and understanding.
