re:con-figure

The inaugural exhibition in Kala’s expanded new gallery location features innovative works in print media, paper sculpture, digital collage, photography and video. Each of the artists included in this exhibition has recently been affiliated with Kala through our Fellowship program, the Phelan Art Awards program, and residencies funded by the James Irvine Foundation and the Alliance of Artist Communities. We welcome their return to the kala gallery in re:con-figure, a shape-shifting exploration into the blurring of boundaries as images, objects and information continuously stream and reconfigure into simulated reality.
