Ben Bigelow

Ben Bigelow was born in Los Angeles in 1985 and received his MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University in 2013. He received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. This year he is a Fellowship Resident at the Kala Art Institute in Berkley, CA while teaching at Stanford University. He has shows coming up at the Royal NoneSuch Gallery, Oakland, CA and at the Harlem Factory Fest in New York, NY. His videos were recently on view as part of Open Video Call at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia. He was featured in two surveys of current MFA students in Los Angeles in “Superpositions – New Wight Biennial 2012,” and in San Francisco in “MFA NOW” at Root Division Gallery. He was an artist in residence at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, ARCE Artist Residency, WI, and The Wassaic Project, NY. He has participated in exhibitions and screenings nationally and internationally in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City and Berlin. He lives and works in Oakland, CA.
