Kin Kwok

Kin Kwok can lay claim to a very unusual resume. Born in China, educated at California Collage of the Arts, and an award-winning special effects artist for the film industry, he is now a Kala Fellowship artist. His combination of small-scale models and monoprints draw from the intersection of religion, ancient folk tales, and classical arts from eastern and western cultures as inspiration for his compositions. His work has been exhibited throughout the Bay Area. K.K., as he is called, has garnered much attention with his most recent project “The Missing Community College Student” installation at the State Capitol Building in Sacramento.
