Become a member today! Kala Members at the Artist/Student level and above save 10%.
Youth Multi-week/Sibling Discount: Enroll one student in two or more classes and save 10% off the total tuition. Siblings may enroll in the same or different program.
– Discounts may not be combined.


TUITION ASSISTANCE

Kala is dedicated to providing financial support and access to adults, youth, and families who would otherwise not be able to participate in our programs because of funds. If you are seeking additional financial support to enroll in a class, please complete this online form at least 2-4 weeks before the first day of class. Please be aware that certain classes may fill up before this timeline. Contact education@kala.org with any questions.

SLIDING SCALE TUITION 

-General Tuition: This is the basic class tuition tier. This is a self funded program and participant fees allow us to continuously offer education in core classes and experiment with new classes and processes.
– Pay-It-Forward Tuition: If you are able, you can pay more than the original class tuition to sponsor someone on a reduced fee!
– Reduced Tuition: Limited Reduced Tuition is available on first-come-first serve basis for those who otherwise may not be able to take part in our programs. For additional assistance, please see the Tuition Assistance section above.


GIFT CERTIFICATES

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

For All Classes & Camps: Kala reserves the right to cancel any class or camp due to low enrollment or other circumstances. In this case, you can request a class credit or a tuition refund. Transfers may be available, space permitting. Classes and camps are not prorated, nor are session dates individualized for any reason.  No refunds are issued for days missed due to illness, family travel, or any no-show.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a non-refundable 5.9% ActiveNet registration fee per order.

Adult Classes $35 administrative fee will be charged for adult class cancellations.  If you cancel your registration 14 days before the first day of class, the remainder of your class fee will be refunded, or you can apply your full class tuition as a credit towards another Kala class. With fewer than 14 days’ notice, you will only receive credit if we can fill your spot with another student from the waitlist. Cancellations requested less than 72 hrs before the first day of class or on and after the first day of class are not eligible for class credit.

Youth Arts Classes (including Camp Kala) $50 administrative fee, per participant registered, will be charged for class or camp cancellations requested by families. If you cancel your registration 30 days before the first day of class or camp, the remainder of your class fee will be refunded, or you can apply the full class tuition as a credit towards another Kala class or camp, space permitting. With fewer than 14 days’ notice, you will only receive class or camp credit if we can fill your spot with another participant from the waitlist. Cancellations requested less than 72 hrs before the first day of class or camp are not eligible for class credit. All credits must be used within one year of cancellation.  We request at least a two-week courtesy notice via email before cancellations to youtharts@kala.org.

Please note: Contact specific programs for tuition payment plans, credits, cancellation updates, and any health & safety-related updates. All credits must be used by the end of the following class season (adult classes) or within a year of cancellation (youth classes).
